Election of Board of Directors for LDCD
Chapter 5 of Indiana Code 14-33, commonly known as the Indiana Conservancy Act, requires LDCD to elect directors at the District’s annual meeting. The February 6, 2012, Circuit Court order establishing the Conservancy District requires the District to hold its annual meeting on or within seven days of the second Wednesday of February.
2024 Election of Area 2 Directors
The Lake DeTurk Conservancy District (LDCD) Board of Directors provides notice of the District’s annual meeting on February 8, 2022, at 7:00 pm at the Emmanuel Apostolic Church, 1320 Morton Ave in the fellowship hall. The term of Area 1 Director, Joseph Cleveland, expires at the annual meeting. The new term for Area 1 Director is a four (4) year term expiring at the District’s annual meeting in February, 2026.

Election Letter and Nomination Form mailing to Area 5 Freeholders
The nominations must be mailed to the Lake Deturk Conservancy District, PO Box 1149, Martinsville, IN 46151. Valid nominations must be delivered or postmarked by December 1, 2023.
A nominee must be:
(1) a freeholder of their respective areas or an officer of a corporate freeholder of their respective areas
(2) be qualified by knowledge and experience in matters pertaining to the development of the district.
(3) need not be a resident of their respective areas or signed the petition to establish the District (a nominee must own a parcel in their respective areas, but does not need to live there).
Nominations must be in writing and contain not less than 5 freeholders’ signatures from their respective areas.
